Jude's Training Site For Managing Your OBA Business

The advertising tools I use to promote OBA are listed on my website at
earn-e-money.com.

with your sponsor or uplines first for their referral links.
Advertising: Part 3

There are many ways to promote on the internet, and the suggestions below are the tip of the iceberg to help you get started. You can also advertise offline and bring people to your online business through ads in local papers, business cards, posts on billboards, tree trunks and notice boards at your community center or grocery store, and by handing out fliers.

OBA provides you with professional sales webpages hosted on the OBA servers. You can get started by promoting those pages. See the resources listed below where you can start advertising your OBA referral links as soon as you have completed setting up your account.

In the long run to operate a successful online business you should set yourself a goal of having your own domain and hosting account (for your lead capture pages) and an autoresponder with prepared sales and follow up emails. In other words, personalise your marketing and
learn about traffic generation and list building. It also helps to know about copywriting, but you can rely on professionaly prepared material.

That way you can focus your advertising on building your list, maintaining an ongoing relationship with your list by offering them something of value related to your
OBA business (e.g. training, free stuff, traffic generation, to name a few things).

As soon someone from your list buys an OBA product, that person is a customer. But if that person chooses to take the Product Plus Business and decides to join you as an OBA business partner, your relationship changes, and I quote my sponsor, Nat (successhelper) from her post titled "Downlines" vs Team of Independant Partners to explain this new relationship:

Nat (Successhelper):  If someone does show interest in taking their business a step further and start reselling ebooks or lease AdSpace, that's great! Of course, as a wise and forward-looking business owner you realize that the success of your business is inter-connected with the success of your business partners, and you would do whatever you possibly can to help them in any way you can as much as you can as often as you can. That's how independent like-minded partners work together, and that also suggests an equal desire of your partners to help YOU! That's true TEAMWORK!

Advertise and Promote - Just Do It!

If you are new to the internet, I suggest that you start your online promotion campaigns at Traffic Exchanges. Some people argue that the traffic exchange audience is a seller's market and that it would be better to find a buyer's market in which to advertise. I disagree. Sellers have "bought' something to sell, so they are also proven buyers. The key is to use traffic exchanges properly, and I trust that the links below will help you do that.

Do not rely on one source of advertising. Use a variety of methods, track your results and stick with the ones that work. But remember that what works today may not work tomorrow.
By visiting the Owner's Business Center regularly, you can find out about new places and new ways to advertise.

HitExchange101:  If you don't know anything about traffic exchanges, John Olson's training portal is a good place to start.

Traffic Exchange 101:
Written by Harry Nguyen, owner of Savvy Clicks traffic exchange. If you don't have time to surf but want your pages seen, I recommend you try the affordable SavvyCoop. If you are not on my team, first ask your sponsor if he or she is a member.

StartXchange Manual: Tim Linden has written a manual for how to use  StartXchange, which he owns; however, much of the information in the manual also applies to using traffic exchanges generally.

Traffic Hoopla is a powerful traffic exchange downline builder. Make sure your referral ID's for the traffic exchanges of which you are a member have been added to the Traffic Hoopla downline builder.

If you are on my Level 1 (i.e. Jude is your direct sponsor), you can use this link to join Traffic Hoopla. Otherwise use the link in your
OBA back office. Remember to replace the link in your back office with yours.

Traffic SwarmWith an Alexa rating of under 400, hands down TrafficSwarm is the best advertising resource on the net if you know how to use it. It has close to half a million members! Many professional marketers use it. I've posted some tips at the OBC, which you can read by clicking here.

FreeTrafficBar - Free Traffic Bar is a powerful traffic generating system that gives you free traffic everyday. If you're not big on surfing traffic exchanges, you can earn traffic just by using your computer like you normally would.  You can add text ads and banners. Set it up and forget it.

Traffic Tutorial - One of our generous OBA business partners Darrin Blair has created a tutorial on the steps to take on your computer for traffic building, which he is happy to share. Click here to check out Darrin's step-by-step Traffic Guide.

Paid to Read, Paid To Click, Classified Ads:  From time to time I buy ads and clicks in these types of sites. Most of these are free to join and if you have the time you can earn credits and use them to advertise OBA.   I list the current ones I am using on my Promote Your Biz pages at my Earn-e-Money.com site.

Forum Marketing - Most forums are free to join. This requires consistent visits and time, and I do not recommend joining forums just to advertise. You must take a genuine  interest in the main topic of a forum and take an active interest in helping others and abide by all the forum rules.

Most forums will allow you to place a signature link, and if you are perceived as making helpful and responsible posts, your good reputation will grow and people will take the time to visit the links in your signature. Check before you join that signature tags are allowed and the terms. Some forums require you  post a set number of times before they allow you to add your signature links.

Credit Based Safelists - I use a few selected credit-based safelists. When I promote OBA in a safelist or solo ad, I always use my own hosted webpages.  OBA does not permit the use of any OBA-hosted webpage in any email, not even double optin or safelist emails, so to use these, you must be able to host your own pages.

You can also add signature links in your emails, as long as they send visitors to your own-hosted webpages and are not linked to the
OBA host server.

Social Networking Sites - You've heard about them: Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Squidoo, Yuwie, LinkedIn, AdlandPro Community, Ryze, just to name a few.

The problem I see with the larger social network sites, is that the more massive the membership numbers, the harder it is to connect with like-minded individuals. I believe the smaller social network sites that cater to internet marketers are more effective from a marketing perspective.

Even better, if you have a special interest, whether that is sports or gardening or needlepoint, the arts, or whatever, you can add your OBA links to your profile and people who have common shared interests with you in other areas may also decide to look at your
OBA business. Never directly try to sell your OBA business on such special interest sites.

Owner's Business Center [OBC] - We have several threads at the OBC dedicated to marketing your OBA digital products sales websites, so be sure to read them.

Remember to keep your focus on promoting your
OBA business.  Don't get sidetracked by trying to promote taffic exchanges, marketing tools and ad sites.  That is not your business. OBA is.
